A few weeks ago we were learning about bees and made a bee DLO. This week we are learning about Invertebrates and Vertebrates.

Matariki

This week we have been learning about Matariki.

Today we made some Maori fry bread to share with our buddy class. I enjoyed making Maori fry bread because I can now show my family how to make it.

Then put it in some oil to fry it.

Cruising like the breeze

On Wednesday we had the amazing Bigfoot Bikes come into our school to teach us about bike safety. We had a lot of fun. 

We especially liked the games at the end. We had to keep riding with the class and we couldn't put our foot down. It was challenging because when we were playing the box game, the box kept getting smaller and smaller.

In class we have also been doing a bike safety presentation. Look out for this when it is finished.

Samoan Language Week

This week we have been celebrating Samoan Language Week.

We got to learn about the language, food, and games with Hamida and Falete

The game we learnt was called lape.
The kitchen group made taro and coconut cream, chop sui, coco rise, and palusami

Sumaya learning how to carve the inside of a coconut.
